Free domain eligibility criteria
- Applies to new domain registrations only.
- Applicable to selected web hosting and email hosting plans paid annually
- One year’s registration of a .au, .com.au or .net.au so long as the Registrant meets the necessary Eligibility and Allocation Criteria
- Desired domain name must be available for registration. Search domain names above.
- Renewals will be at our standard renewal rates.
.au eligibility
A Person applying for a Licence in the .au direct Namespace must have a verifiable *Australian Presence, and .au direct Domain Names will be allocated according to the priority allocation process set out in the .au Direct Priority Rules.
You will need to verify Australian Presence by way of ABN, ACN, Trademark, Australian Drivers Licence or Australian Passport
.com.au & .net.au eligibility
To be eligible for a .com.au or .net.au domain name, you must be a commercial entity that is registered in Australia or you hold an Australian Trademark. You must be able to verify that by way of ABN, ACN etc.
The allocation criteria for a .com.au or net.au states that the domain name must have a connection to the registering entity. Either a match or acronym of your business name, a product you sell, your name or your trademark name.
